PG&E May Proactively Shut Off Power for Safety to Approximately 22,000 Customers Across 17 Counties and 4 Tribal Areas Starting Tuesday Evening

PG&E is monitoring a high wind event expected from Tuesday, Nov. 5, to Thursday, Nov. 7, and has expanded the potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) scope to 22,000 customers across 16 counties due to increased fire risks. Conditions include strong winds and low humidity that elevate wildfire concerns, especially in the Sacramento Valley, North Bay, and East Bay areas. PG&E has been coordinating with election officials to ensure uninterrupted power at polling sites, deploying temporary generators as needed. Community Resource Centers will also be available for customer support during outages.
