Just one month after winning the Latin Grammy for his album “Rodando por el mundo”, José Alberto El Canario is back in the news, this time for the launch of Alta-voz.app , a multifunctional platform for the Latin music ecosystem.
Alta-voz.app is a project of a group of professionals, which includes at its core a significant part of the production team for Best Traditional Tropical Album in 2024. Alden González, José Raposo, Geovanis Alcántara and José Alberto El Canario are part of a group of founders, which includes journalists, music critics, computer developers and other specialists.
“We are introducing an important, utilitarian tool for both Latin music fans and industry professionals, as Alta-voz.app is designed for both,” said Alden González, CEO.
The creators consider this to be a “moment of impressive global popularity for Latin music” and one in which the Spanish language has more speakers than ever in the world, both native and non-native.
“We want, above all, to be a facilitator for fans and professional components of the Latin industry, who above all want to be up to date on the current state of our Hispanic music, both mainstream and small niches, which are many. It can be an important point of connection with other platforms linked to the music industry,” added González.
In this first phase, Alta-voz.app will offer news, album releases, singles and videos of Latin music, as well as updates on every Hispanic music event in the world.
“This is an idea that we have been cooking up for a long time. We have tried to reflect our experiences as long-time industry professionals. Little by little we will generate services in Alta-voz.app that solve problems that we ourselves have faced in our careers. It is a real aspiration that our colleagues can use the platform to do their work more comfortably,” said José Raposo, experienced manager, promoter and producer.
On the other hand, José Alberto El Canario described the presentation of the platform to the public as “very motivating”, “with the initial aim of informing, and then gradually increasing the services”.
Alta-voz.app will increase its services throughout 2025, including ticket sales for live events, online concert streaming, and crowdfunding for Latin music projects, among other options. Mobile applications for iOS and Android will also be ready soon.
“We are working for the Latin music family, which is made up of many important music and genres. We want them to have many opportunities to advance professionally with their projects, something that the fans, to whom we owe ourselves, will always be grateful for,” concluded El Canario.
