In this new urban salsa, Menteabierta continues to show its ability to fuse salsa with the raw and real stories of life on the streets. Under the production of the renowned Wilbert Taveras, Sistema de Barrio paints a vivid and unfiltered portrait of the unwritten rules of the barrio, where loyalty is ephemeral and danger is constant.
The music video for Sistema de Barrio , produced by Christopher R. Ureña, was filmed in the heart of Menteabierta’s neighborhood, Los Mina, to capture the authentic essence of what they experienced. With their unmistakable style, Menteabierta uses their lyrics to tell stories of survival in an environment where no one is safe and betrayals become part of the daily routine.
