Puerto Rico, USA – With his usual energy, the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter announces the release of his latest single, titled “No puede ser nadie.”
With this release, which is a testament to more than fifteen years dedicated to music with a positive and rather Christ-centered message by the leader of the orchestra Al compás de Cristo, Héctor Olmo manages to capture the attention of salsa fans who prefer romantic lyrics that are also danceable.
“No puede ser nadie” is a composition by Héctor Olmo. For this romantic song with a positive message, Olmo imagined an arrangement with a lot of swing. For this, he commissioned the experienced Wilmer Herrera. The singer believes that a song with a positive message can have as much impact as a song with a Christian message. That is why he has tried to maintain a balance between Christian music and secular music that can bring encouragement, hope and good ideas to the public that would otherwise miss out on listening to salsa that can have a positive influence among couples, family members, or strangers.
Since 2011, the Christian minister has released three albums and nine singles. The first, titled En el corazón , featured Julito Alvarado and Eric Figueroa for musical production. For the second, Mi pueblo se levanta , musical production was handled by Julito Alvarado and Norberto Vélez. During the recording of the third, Pa’ lante, guerrero , the intervention of Joe Sandoz in the musical direction consolidated the alliance that to date has added nine singles to the list of Héctor Olmo’s productions.
For this tenth single, Wilmer Herrera’s musical arrangement adds rhythm and swing to the song, making sure to maintain the group’s orchestration and distinctive sound, which continues to evolve. Highlighting the diversity within salsa, in this romantic song you can hear: Christopher “Pupi” González on percussion, Julio Fernández Antillano on bass, Ronald Quiroz on piano, Andrés Fontalvo on trumpets, Juan Steven García on trombones, Jefferson Salcedo on baritone saxophone, as well as Edwin Lebrón and Miguel Guerrero on backing vocals. The mixing and mastering were also done by Joe Sandoz. The work team was joined by the expertise of Segarra music for the recording of the soloist’s voice, who was also accompanied by Joe González as a vocal coach. The cover images are by Daniel Matos, and the design is by Fabricio Aguirre.
With this single, “No puede ser nadie” (It can’t be anyone), Héctor Olmo consolidates his musical concept within salsa with a positive message and meaning, with rhythm, flavor and a lot of swing. It feels like Olmo’s lyrics flowed through him by divine grace and that the work team understood his purpose when recording; achieving a unique and powerful song. ‘ No puede ser nadie ‘ (It can’t be anyone) , like the other productions of Olmo and his orchestra, Al compás de Cristo, are available on digital platforms and select music stores.
