GEICO has established eight drive-in inspection sites, staffed by GEICO insurance adjusters, in six Florida cities

WASHINGTON-To best support customers impacted by Hurricane Milton, GEICO insurance adjusters and support staff will be on-site at four insurance villages hosted by the Florida Department of Financial Services:

  • Starting Monday, Oct. 14 – Bradenton, Fla.: 101 12th Street West
  • Starting Tuesday, Oct. 15 – Clearwater, Fla.: 1501 North Belcher Road
  • Starting Tuesday, Oct. 15 – Lakeland, Fla.: RP Funding Center – Sikes Hall, 701 W Lime Street
  • Starting Wednesday, Oct. 16 – Plant City, Fla.: 303 Berryfest Place

Hours vary for each location. For more information on these insurance villages, visit the Florida Department of Financial Services disaster information website.

GEICO establishes drive-in inspection sites throughout impacted areas

In addition to participating in Florida’s insurance villages, GEICO has established eight drive-in inspection sites, staffed by GEICO insurance adjusters, in the following Florida cities: Lakeland, Port St. Lucie, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tampa. GEICO customers can make an appointment to visit one of these sites after they file their claim online at geico.com/response or through the GEICO mobile app. Customers may also file a claim over the phone by calling GEICO at 1-800-841-3000.

GEICO reminds customers who are still returning to assess the condition of their vehicles to exercise extreme caution as the damage from winds and flooding could be severe.

  • There may be instances where cars were submerged in floodwaters that have since receded. Customers should refrain from driving their vehicle if they suspect that it has been flooded.
  • Customers should also stay away from their vehicle if they notice downed power lines near where it’s parked as this could pose a safety risk.
  • If heavy debris like a tree limb falls on a customer’s car, we ask that they leave it in place as this could pose a safety risk.

In these types of instances where there are several major safety risks, GEICO’s claims team will work with customers and come directly to them to inspect their vehicle if it is not drivable. Customers simply must file a claim first, and GEICO will then work with them to set up a field inspection appointment as quickly as possible.

Payment flexibility

GEICO understands that these are challenging times for those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. In response, GEICO is offering payment flexibility to assist affected customers. For questions, customers may call 1-800-841-3000.
